Even better than drive though donut holes, complete with “powdered cinnamon sugar.”! These are extra delicious if warmed up just a tad.
Ingredients
1 Cup Large flake oats
1 Cup Large flake oats, ground
5 Scoops Vanilla protein powder (we love Isagenix Isapro)
3 dehydrated apple rings (1 ounce)
¼ Cup Coconut oil, melted
½ Cup Unsweetened Almond milk
2 Tbsp Pure, organic maple syrup
½ tsp ground cinnamon
For “powdered sugar” coating
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
½ tsp ground cinnamon
Directions
1. With a sharp knife, chop apple rings into small chunks
2. Mix all dry ingredients (except the coating), including chopped apple, in a large bowl
3. Mix in melted coconut oil, unsweetened almond milk, and maple syrup
4. Form into balls and place on a cookie sheet
5. Roll each ball in the protein powder/cinnamon mixture. This is easier if you place the ball in your hand with some of the coating and gently toss the ball between your hands. Alternately, you could use a small plastic bag and gently shake the balls in the coating.
6. Place balls on the cookie sheet and place in fridge or freezer to firm up.
Store in airtight container in fridge or freezer.
