Candy Cane Protein Balls

Makes 24 balls

2 cup old fashioned oats (large flake)

4 scoops undenatured vanilla protein powder (we love Isagenix Isapro)

¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

¼ cup natural peanut butter

¼ cup warm water

1 tsp organic vanilla extract

1 tsp organic peppermint extract


Topping (optional)

1 mini candy cane, crushed

¼ cup good quality dark chocolate, melted


Mix all dry ingredients together in large bowl. In a separate small bowl, mix the warm water, peanut butter, vanilla and peppermint extracts until blended.  Add to dry ingredients and stir until completely mixed. 


Mixture will be quite sticky, so if you have it, rub a little organic coconut oil onto your hands to prevent mess J Form into balls and place on cookie sheet.


Place in freezer for about 20 mins.


Melt chocolate in double boiler on stove top.  Dip top of each ball into dark chocolate, and sprinkle a dusting of crushed candy cane on each.  Store in airtight container in freezer or fridge!
