Hello to all of you beautiful women and welcome to Healthy Role Models Fall 2020!

Congratulations on investing in yourself and in your health! It’s not something everyone is willing to do and you should be PROUD. It’s an investment that is going to flood into all aspects of your life.

I’ve been a part of the HRM community since Autumn 2016. This will be my sixth journey and the second as an ambassador. I’m a wife and mom to two amazing little kids: a 4 year old boy and a 1 year old girl.

My health, wellness and fitness journey began over 15 years ago when I decided I’d had enough with my weight gain and lack of exercise at the end of high school. I picked up a “Running for Beginners” book and 3 months later I was running 10 km on the treadmill three times a week. I lost 20 lbs. I felt invincible. However, my life got busier and I struggled to control my unsustainable workout and eating schedule. I became anxious about running and eating and I had no knowledge of how to properly fuel my body, let alone the long-term effects of what I was doing. This resulted in poor circulation, I was freezing all the time and my emotions were all over the map.

It took me years to heal myself and find a beautiful balance in my life. But I did. I educated myself and slowly began to find a better balance. The tipping point was when I found HRM. It provided me with a solid, stable, and totally sustainable platform. It gave me my freedom back by providing a structure and habits to frame the rest of my life around.  Now, nutrition and healthy living are second nature to me. I feel so much younger and have more energy than I did when I was in my early-20s. I currently have a very healthy relationship with food and exercise. I prioritize my sleep and self-care. My scarcity mindset has been replaced by an abundance mindset.

As painful as that time in my life was, I am grateful for it. It gave me empathy and compassion for others who might be going through the same thing, and it makes me appreciate where I am now! Most importantly, it has given me the tools and knowledge to help and serve others.

I have a family history of cancer and early-onset dementia, and this led me to dive headfirst into the world of deep health. Last spring, I received my Precision Nutrition Level 1 Coaching Certification and am passionate about helping women find their own freedom from food and inner source of power.

A major component of living a longer and more fulfilled life is community. Having a group of women who want to empower themselves and rise up to their higher selves… you can’t help but want to achieve more for yourself as well. Through HRM I’ve watched so many women with many different challenges rise, and then rise again. They’ve inspired me in so many ways. They’ve shown me what’s possible. It is such an honour to pay it forward and serve in my own way. And an honour to have you JOIN US!
